Demonstration Strand Project Officer (Associate)
Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial is an Indonesian organization affiliated with Hivos, born out of an active collaboration between Netherlands based Hivos and several like-minded Indonesian academics and civil society leaders who subscribe to the values and mission of Hivos. Aim of the job
The Demonstration Strand Project Associate is aimed to provide support to the day-to-day coordination with DP Technical Working Group members, relevant government institutions and expert consultants. Together with other consortium members from Palladium and Castlerock. The Project Associate plays a role in ensuring that the deliveries from the Demo project are well-reflected in the policy papers analysis and recommendation, financial & investment and collaboration knowledge learning agenda. The position is full-time (40hrs/week) Jakarta-based with travels, primarily to Eastern Indonesia.
Functional Context
The Demonstration Strand Project Associate works closely with the Climate Justice Program team, MENTARI Project Team, and Finance Officer.
Roles and responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall Demonstration project support through proper documentation of meetings and other means of communication with relevant stakeholders
- Provide support in coordination with Demonstration Strand Technical Working Group, including the finalisation of Demo Strand’s annual terms of reference report to the Ministry of Energy.
- Compile and archive BAST, Demo 1 supplier’s milestones documents and liaise with the local field team to document all implementation documents.
- Foster good coordination and communication with consortium partners, government and across strands within MENTARI.
- Assist with the progress of the project, including monitoring and evaluation of the impact and outcome, providing regular progress reports in accordance with donor requirements and ensuring the submission of the reports within agreed deadlines.
- Support internal team meeting
- Contribute to the knowledge management and dissemination plans
- Drive studies such as off-grid management benchmarking, community engagement strategies with partner universities, and women entrepreneurship reiteration case study
- Support product knowledge development and dissemination including learning from Demonstration Project Strand in the policy papers analysis, financial & investment and overall knowledge management.
- Support the program reports including working with MREL to start quarterly and annual report
- Logistic and administration
- Support overall administrations including develop/ review TOR, invitation and other logistic matters for the team in Jakarta, Kupang and Sumba.
- Collect, compile and store project data in the dedicated server
Knowledge, experiences and competencies
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experiences, a specific experience in renewable energy implementation and a background will be of advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge and passion for community development, energy access, economic empowerment, and gender and social inclusion in development sectors (the energy sector will be an advantage).
- Must have excellent communications skill, able to express views clearly and have strong relational skills
- A good team player, with sound experience in managing partnerships and multi-actor initiatives
- Strong organizational administrative and proven report writing skills.
- Can indicate his/her limits in time, plan well, be assertive and decisive and independent.
