Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer

Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial is an Indonesian organization affiliated with Hivos, born out of an active collaboration between Netherlands based Hivos and several like-minded Indonesian academics and civil society leaders who subscribe to the values and mission of Hivos. The purpose is to promote humanist values in the social, health, and cultural fields which is defined in terms of the ability for each individual to assess and decide independently and responsibly, the right to freedom, dignity and a passion to create a just and tolerant society.

Yayasan seeks qualified candidates for the position of:

Aim of the Role

Yayasan has a vacancy for a Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer to support the program in Southeast Asia.

The Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer provides assistance to the Program Development Managers and Financial Controller in the development and execution of projects. In this supportive role, the Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer applies Yayasan’s procedures and sustainability requirements and collects and applies Yayasan’ expertise on donor requirements in designing and realizing results, budgets and staff deployment.

 

Functional Context

The Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer works in liaison with the Financial Controller, who provides financial and accounting support to PDMs in the development and execution of projects. The Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer works closely with senior managers and the Programme/Project Managers, advising on the development and execution of projects.

The Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer works with the Executive Director as their tasks all include strategic account management, and they share their expertise, including by contributing to filling the database with information on donor intelligence and requirements.

The Program Development and Donor Compliance Officer may advise on changes in the compliance procedures.

 

Scope of work

The consultant is expected to:

  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of Yayasan’s procedures, safeguards, pitchdecks and track records working with donors for proposal submissions.
  • Review donor requirements including standards use on compliance for projects and guarding the process of meeting these requirements. Provide these information/knowledge access to relevant PDMs and PMs
  • Develop a standard checklist for PDMs in proposal development processes to follow with reference of information and internal flow
  • Maintain and up-to-date Yayasan’s logins tender account and subscriptions to funding opportunities.
  • Support review design proposal before formal application to donors and readjust according to Yayasan and donors regulations
  • Assists PDMs and PMs in consultation with stakeholders and partners in early stage of concept design and negotiations with donors
  • Regular scan for funding opportunities and do follow up with PDMs in funding pursuit.

 

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Relevant work experience approx. 5 years
  • Expertise in resource mobilization and donor compliance
  • Work experience in project design and control
  • Work experience in institutional institutions
  • Preferable legal knowledge
  • Strong affinity for Yayasan’s vision and mission and for social and environmental concerns.
  • Strong motivation to contribute towards real and lasting change.
