Sustainability Report 2024: Standing Our Ground: Making Inclusive and Resilient Change in Southeast Asia

Humanis Foundation

This is the third Sustainability Report published by Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial (hereafter referred to as Humanis), covering our operations in Indonesia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste. Our 2024 sustainability reporting and disclosure have been prepared ‘in accordance’ with the GRI Standards for Sustainability Reporting. The report covers the period from 1 January to 31 December 2024, unless otherwise stated. No restatements of information from previous reporting periods have been made.

This report outlines our organizational achievements, performance, commitment, initiatives and impact. As interest in sustainability grows, we aim to make our reporting accessible and relevant to a broad range of stakeholder, including donors, partners, NGOs, governments, rightsholders and the general public.

Certain GRI disclosures are not applicable to Humanis’ operations, as we are a nonprofit foundation that does not engage in commercial activities such as the design, production, or sale of products and services. Our mandate is focused on implementing programs and initiatives in areas including climate justice, gender equality, and civic rights, rather than providing goods or services to customers. Accordingly, indicators related to product responsibility, marketing, customer health and safety, or energy requirements of products are not reported. This explanation is provided to ensure transparency and to clarify that these disclosures were not overlooked but are outside the scope of Humanis’ mission and operations.

The financial data presented in this report is consolidated from Humanis’ operations and audited by Kantor Akuntan Publik Tanubrata Sutanto Fahmi Bambang & Rekan (BDO), in accordance with the Auditing Standards set by the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The audit covers the financial year from 1 January – 31 December 2024.

Humanis upholds transparency and accountability as core organizational values, which are reflected in the quality and integrity of the data and information presented in this 2024 Sustainability Report. The report was developed under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, with coordination between the Management Team, DMEL Coordination and Communications Team. It presents the Humanis’ performance in managing key sustainability issues. The assurance plan is reviewed and approved annually by the Board of Trustees and Board of Supervisors.

This Sustainability Report has been externally assured by Decar Verite Asia in accordance with the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS v3) Type 2. The assurance process evaluated compliance with the AA1000 assurance principles and verified the reliability of disclosed performance data. The scope covered all material information and key indicators in this report, in line with GRI Standards requirements
