Join Humanis’ Journey in Bangkok This October!

Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial (Humanis) is delighted to announce that we will hold four series of events in Bangkok, Thailand. You are invited to join our journey in centering care in our way of working, institution, and enforcing solidarity across Southeast Asia.

Humanis understands the importance of integrating the principles of collective care in the way we carry out our work and interact with our stakeholders. We also realize its significance in building solidarity and sustaining movements across our three impact areas in the region. This journey is our commitment to meet and collaborate with civil societies across Southeast Asia. The details for this event can be found below:

About Our Event in ICSW

Event title: We Don’t Live in Different Planets: The Interconnectivity between Civic Spacetime and Climate Justice 

Event description: A collaborative workshop to redefine what “healthy civic spacetime” means in the context of climate injustice. Together, we will explore how to connect (by building, strengthening, and brokering networks); defend (by establishing protection circles and fostering collective care); and act (through collective actions that expand and sustain movements).

About the International Civil Society Week (ICSW) Tracks 

All sessions fall under our shared theme:
“Celebrating Citizen Action: Reimagining Democracy, Rights and Inclusion for Today’s World.” 

Some events did not fit neatly into one track, but we have matched them as closely as possible.

  • Youth, Intergenerational Movements and Civic Futures – Youth engagement, civic learning and the role of young leaders in shaping a democratic future
